It’s old news now, but I’m watching this video again, drinking mead (yes, mead, sup medieval yummy) and packing for a cross-country move. Steve Ballmer is downright terrifying, but at the same time there is something so inspirational about how much he loves what he does. I want that passion.

New plan.
Fortunately, it buggered up simple copy/paste operations (copied test from Google Docs, no less) and doesn’t have sweet goodies like Firefox’s NoScript addon, I gave up on it within 15 minutes of installation.

It seems the ToS give Google “a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.”

Yeah, they can use anything you write or submit while using Chrome. Free. Forever.

He seems like a genuinely well-intentioned man, which in itself is even more disturbing since it’s enough to win the support of a lot of people who don’t seem to care (or notice) that the man fails to grasp some of the most basic realities of our era.

"Don’t be afraid your life will end.
I suppose I could port one for Tumblr, but that seems like a recipe for frustration and creative use of obscenities.

10 First Aid Mistakes

10 First Aid Mistakes:
The best part of this list is no doubt the caveat that a victim with a severed finger would likely be undergoing immediate surgery, and thus would be “best off with an empty stomach.”

Thank god they clarified that, since I know my first reaction on lopping off a digit would be to insist we go to a hospital with a taco place en route.

Women spend 136 days of their lives "getting ready"

alla1:

That’s 3,276 hours spent primping and preening for a night out - enough time for an astronaut to fly to the moon and back 22 times. This is per a recent poll of 1,000 women between the ages of 18 and 60, conducted by Skinbliss, a women’s beauty brand.

This is why I work from home, as a writer, and my “office attire” is pyjama pants and a tank top.

I probably make up for it getting ready to go out in the evenings, though. I’m forever forgetting where I put my asbestos respirator and extra camera batteries.

Mario Bros. :: Firefox Add-ons

Mario Bros. :: Firefox Add-ons:
I love it!
