Found and then lost

Well, 2 days after I started reading her blog, and 1 day after I got over my petty “she can’t be that pretty and actually be smart” attitude problem (which I was surprised to discover I had), it seems Julia Allison’s blog is finished.

I can’t do this anymore. It’s ruining my life. 

It’s a bit of a shame, since she had me inspired to get off my ass, get out of the mental stupor I’ve been in this past year, and get down to business finding my own dream job. But the Internet is a strange place, and I know first hand the dangers of putting yourself out there.

I only make short, dramatic statements like hers when I’m very upset. Hopefully whatever prompted the withdrawal is over and dealt with soon.
